Museums visit report
Frederick Stibbert (1838-1906),created the museum, all of the collection from different region and different times, Due to Frederick Stibbert's educational background in british,Lots of his collection was much inflenced by the british culture, some of the art work looks very similar as what i saw in the ancient castle in Englang a few years ago.In additional, most of the collections are more complete and exquisite, also special than other museums related to ancient weapons. The collections which like The European Armoury was created during forty years of collecting, from about 1860 to the beginning of 1900s. It includes many armours, swords, spears, crossbows, rifles and guns which attracted me a lot.
The armours are mainly sixteenth century from the most important Italian, German and French production areas. There are arms and armours for warfare and others for tournament. Others like Islamic arms and armours from the Middle East, with examples from Turkey, Persia and Moghul India.Stibbert's interest in the history of costume is evident, with pieces spanning from the sixteenth to nineteenth centuries, from Europe to India, China and Japan.
The collection in the museum, including the ancient armor and weapons, clothing and so on, and having been see a wide variety of collections feel very honored, benefit, rich knowledge and vision, has a deep understanding of history.
